Veggie Tip

What I hate the most is spending so much of my grocery budget on fresh produce to find that I could not use it all before it started to mold. With a wedding coming up, bills to pay, and a house to buy and renovate, there is no room to be wasting money!

The Solution:
Stop buying fresh produce! Buy frozen instead. Frozen veggies and fruits are frozen right after harvest so the nutrients and natural sweetness is maintained until you need them! Because they are frozen they will not go bad on you!
Do not buy canned veggies. Canned versions contain huge amounts of sodium that can really throw off your diet. If you have canned veggies in your pantry that you need to use up, drain the veggies into a colander and rinse the veggies in hot water before cooking. This will rinse most of the sodium right off!

When buying frozen fruit, be sure to choose the no sugar added varieties!
